Milton schools join interagency agreement
The Milton School District and police department are joining the Rock County Interagency team.
Milton Superintendent Peg Ekedahl says area police and school districts have worked well together in the past in monitoring students at risk of criminal behavior. An interagency agreement signed by area law enforcement and school officials Thursday allows information to be shared between the different agencies.
The agreement appears to be working well. Several agencies participate in the four-year old agreement.
Beloit Schools Safety Manager Doug Reynolds says the agreement is patterned after a model interagency agreement crafted for the United States Department of Justice.
