— Two more people have declared their intent to run for Janesville School Board in the April elections.

This brings the number of potential candidates to five, running for three seats.

Incumbent Bill Sodemann said he will run for a second term.

And a newcomer Peggy Sheridan said she will run.

Sheridan, 37, of 3214 Westminster Road, is a secretary for the Jeffris Family Foundation.

Others who have taken out candidacy papers are Peter D. Severson, Tom Lemmer and incumbent Kevin Murray.

Incumbent Todd Bailey is not seeking another term.

Candidates must file completed candidacy petitions by Jan. 2 in order to have their names printed on the ballot.

Anyone who is interested in running for school board should call assistant board clerk Nancy Hewes at (608) 743-5056.
