— A Lear Corp. employee, a pharmaceutical salesperson and a retired doctor are the 11th, 12th and 13th people to consider running for Janesville City Council in April.

The three newest candidates circulating nomination papers are:

-- Jason Guernsey, 28, of 333 Home Park Ave., who works in quality assurance at Lear Corp.

-- Kathy Voskuil, 48, of 3417 Amhurst Road, who is a pharmaceutical salesperson for Pfizer.

-- Jeffrey C. Thomas, 67, of 417 Waveland Road, a retired doctor and perennial political candidate.

They join Kevin Bishop, K. Andreah Briarmoon, Karl Dommershausen, Richard Ellingson, David Henke, George Mark, Billy R. McCoy, Tom McDonald, Kelly O’Brien and Yuri D. Rashkin, who already have taken out papers.

Three of seven council seats will open up in April because incumbents Tim Wellnitz, Paul Williams and Craig DeGarmo are stepping down.

Candidates were allowed to start circulating nomination papers Dec. 1. To get their names on the ballot, candidate must collect 200 to 400 valid signatures from Janesville residents.

Nomination papers are due at the city clerk’s office Jan. 2.

hannah, on second thought, not sure where you were going with your post. Sorry if I took the wrong point.

It's a mistake to try to make this into a man/woman thing. The complements for him and the criticisms for her were inspired by their actions. Those descriptions were not based on favoritism nor bias.

That's funny, she didn't mention getting fired on her TV show Thursday. Her show was taped a few days earlier and in it she did her usual slamming of Ken Hendricks. The show aired the day he had his accident.

Isn't Thomas a former councilmember?
