-- FRED S. CURTIS, 35, of 1113 5th St., Beloit, on Sunday on two counts of theft, two counts of party to theft, two of criminal damage, two of party to criminal damage, three of entry to a locked vehicle and two of party to entry of a locked vehicle after police executed a search warrant at his home in connection with thefts from vehicles in Janesville. Also arrested was NICHOLAS A. WRAGE, 21, of 737B Euclid Ave., Beloit, on one charge each of theft and party to theft, one charge each of criminal damage and party to criminal damage and one charge each of entry to a locked vehicle and party to entry to a locked vehicle.
Intoxicated driving arrests
-- CARLOS V. CABAN, 32, of 421 S. Franklin St., Janesville, at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of South Franklin Street in Janesville. Also arrested on charges of possessing cocaine and drug paraphernalia and a probation hold.
-- THEFT of a wheelchair from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 313 E. Wall St., Janesville, reported at 2 p.m. Thursday. Loss estimated at $700.
-- A BELT BURNED IN A ROOF-MOUNTED HEATING UNIT at 2:09 p.m. Sunday at Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar, 3024 Milton Ave., Janesville. This created a peculiar odor and smoke from the restaurant’s ventilation system. Customers and staff were evacuated for a half hour until the cause of the odor and smoke was determined.
-- OVERHEATED ELECTRICAL CORD at 9:11 p.m. Sunday in a duplex at 431 N. Grant Ave., Janesville, which resulted in smoke and a burning plastic odor in the garage. Tenants were evacuated until the source of the smoke and odor was determined.
