— Two Good Samaritans have heartfelt words of appreciation waiting for them at the Janesville Fire Department.

The kudos are for helping save the life of a man, who suffered a heart attack about 2:45 p.m. Friday in the parking lot at Woodman’s Food Market, 2819 N. Lexington Drive, Janesville.

They performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the man until paramedics arrived, said shift Commander Bill Ruchti, of the fire department.

“Their efforts helped make the difference,” Ruchti said.

The problem is that no one in the department knows who the two heroes are, Ruchti said.

After paramedics arrived, the two people just slipped away, Ruchti said.

The thanks can be claimed by calling the Janesville Fire Department at (608) 373-3440.
