UW-Whitewater women remain undefeated

— UW-Whitewater skipped past visting UW-Stevens Point, 75-71, in a WIAC women’s basketball opener at Williams Center.

Kelsey Hendrickson scored with eight seconds remaining to give Whitewater the lead for good. Trisha Thill added a pair of free throws to ensure the victory.


Whitewater’s Tiffany Morton scored a game-high 20 points. Nicole Bundy added 13 points, while Hendrickson added 11.


Whitewater (5-0, 1-0) will host UW-Oshkosh at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
