Craig wrestlers win twice

Janesville Craig High wrestlers won two of five matches at the Oconomowoc Invitational on Saturday.

The Cougars defeated Waukesha West, 33-23, and host Oconomowoc 46-29. Craig lost to defending Division 1 state champion Wisconsin Rapids, 62-17, Arrowhead, 45-36, and West Allis Hale, 40-35.

“We wrestled well, considering we had six matches in two days,” said Craig coach Jeff Kaster, whose Cougars lost their Big Eight season-opener to Middleton on Friday night.

Craig freshman Siven Furseth and senior Trevor Gregoire each posted 5-0 records at 103 and 160 pounds respectively. Senior Boyd Maske went 3-0 at 285 pounds.
