He graduated from Ankeny High School, Ankeny, Iowa, in 1999, received a degree in exercise science and pre-medicine from University of Iowa in 2003 and a family medicine degree from A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kirksville, Mo., in 2007. He is employed by Regina Medical Center, Hastings, Minn.

Carrie Shelton and Bill Ruchti were married Saturday, Jan. 28, in a family candlelight service at Congregational United Church of Christ, Brodhead.

Their parents are James and the late Judy Bothun, Janesville, and the late Fritz and Arlene Ruchti, Brodhead.

The bride is employed by Parker High School, Janesville. The groom is employed by the Janesville Fire Department.

Their family includes Jordan (Ruchti) and Evan Duemler and their son Caleb, Kristen Ruchti, Ryan Shelton, Samantha Shelton and Christina Shelton.

The newlyweds reside in Brodhead.

EVANSVILLE—Barbara and Richard Cornwell celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their children and grandchildren.

Cornwell and Barbara Schindler were married Feb. 24, 1962, in Monroe. He is retired from General Motors, Janesville. She retired as an insurance assistant in Evansville.

Their family includes Sheri and Kelly Stewart and James and Brenda Cornwell. They also have four grandchildren.

WALWORTH—Laurie and Tim Collins will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary with a trip to Glendale, Ariz., for the Milwaukee Brewers’ spring training in March.

Collins and Laurie Vigdahl were married March 14, 1987, in Orfordville. He is employed by Big Foot High School, Walworth. She is employed by Mercy Walworth Hospital and Medical Center, Williams Bay.

Their family includes Kristin Collins, a senior at UW-Madison, and Kyle Collins, a freshman at UW-La Crosse.
