She graduated from St. Mary’s Springs High School, Fond du Lac, in 2004, and received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Marian University, Fond du Lac, in 2008. Her fiancé is the son of Kathy and Mark Bush, Janesville. He graduated from Craig High School, Janesville, in 2003, and received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Marian University, Fond du Lac, in 2007. He is employed by the Whitefish Bay Police Department.

Beth Kirchner and Tom Parsons are engaged and planning a Saturday, July 10, wedding at Cooksville Lutheran Church, Cooksville. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Lynn and Steve Christophersen, Whitewater, and Laura and Pete Kirchner, Janesville. She graduated from Milton High School, Milton, in 1999, and received a degree in psychology from UW-Madison in 2004, where she is studying to obtain a master’s degree in special education. Her fiancé is the son of Sue and Jim Parsons, Milton. He graduated from Milton High School, Milton, in 2003, and received a degree in finance from UW-Whitewater in 2008. He is employed by M&I Bank, Beloit.

Amber Nicole Weaver and Cody Lee Phillips are engaged and planning a June 19 wedding at Luther Valley, Beloit. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Cindi and Steven Weaver, Beloit. She received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Carroll University, Waukesha, in 2007, and is currently attending UW-Whitewater to obtain a master’s degree in communication science and disorders. She is employed by Wisconsin Early Autism Project, Milwaukee. Her fiancé is the son of Lisa and Travis Phillips, Beloit. He graduated from Ashland High School, Ashland, in 2003, and is currently attending UW-Whitewater to obtain a degree in sociology and criminal justice. He served in the U.S. Army and is employed by JBM Protection Company, Milwaukee.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Marjorie and Rick Joiner, Milton. Her fiancé is the son of Nancy and David Hayes, Beaver Dam. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School, Beaver Dam, in 2002, and received a degree in biology from UW-Stevens Point in 2007. He is currently attending Carver College of Medicine, Iowa City, Iowa.

Heine, Faribault, Minn. She graduated from Faribault High School, Faribault, Minn., in 1989, and received a degree in psychology from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind., in 1993. She is employed by Office Concepts, Chicago. Her fiancé is the son of Ricki and Jim P. Nehs, Janesville. He graduated from Parker High School, Janesville, in 1984. He received a degree in political science and sociology from Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill., in 1988, and a juris doctor degree from UW-School of Law in 1991. He is employed by PepsiAmericas, Minneapolis.

Shey Scaro and Philip Zwieg are engaged and planning a Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, wedding. The bride to-be is the daughter of Christine and Edward Scaro, Elkhorn. She graduated from Elkhorn Area High School, Elkhorn, in 2006, and is attending UW-Whitewater to obtain degrees in elementary/middle education and special education. She will graduate in December. Her fiancé is the son of Vicki and David Zwieg, Elkhorn. He graduated from Elkhorn Area High School, Elkhorn, in 2006, and is currently attending UW-Whitewater to obtain a degree in general business. He will graduate in May.

Wendy Sveom and Christopher Ganzow were married Saturday, Oct. 24, at St. Jude Parish, Beloit. Their parents are Mary Ann and Robert Sveom, and Roxanne and Ronald Ganzow, all of Beloit. Beth Hill, friend of the couple, was the matron of honor. Matt Lichtfuss, friend of the couple, was the best man. The bride graduated from Beloit Memorial High School, Beloit, in 2002, and received a degree in sociology from UW-Whitewater in 2007. She is employed by Maryville Academy, Durand, Ill. He graduated from Parkview High School, Orfordville, in 2002. He received a degree in mechanical design technology from Blackhawk Technical College, Janesville, in 2007. He is employed by Wal-Mart, Rockton, Ill. The newlyweds reside in Beloit.

Ward

Anniversary

JANESVILLE—Ellen and Fred Ward celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Seattle, Wash., by Amtrak Train. Ward and Ellen Marie Klumph were married Feb. 20, 1960, at their parents home in Janesville. He is retired from General Motors, Janesville. She is retired from Central Vending, Janesville. Their family includes Diana Ward, and Brenda Mellom, both of Janesville. They also have three grandchildren.
