Melissa Maiwald and Art Goff are engaged and planning a Saturday, Oct. 24, wedding in East Troy. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Kathleen and John Maiwald, Elkhorn. She graduated from Whitewater High School, Whitewater, in 2001 and received a degree in communications from Wisconsin Lutheran College, Milwaukee, in 2005. Her fiancé is the son of Renee Goff and Dennis Goff, both of Racine. He graduated from Park High School, Racine, in 2001 and received a degree in civil engineering from Gateway Technical College, Racine, in 2004.

Amanda Erickson and Gale Price are engaged and planning a Saturday, June 6, wedding at the Janesville Performing Arts Center, Janesville. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Susan Erickson and Michael Boisvert, Delavan and John and Tina Erickson, Darien. She graduated from Delavan-Darien High School, Delavan, in 1992. She received a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1997 and a master’s degree in management technology and training in 2005 from UW-Whitewater. She is employed by the city of Janesville as senior accountant. Her fiancé is the son of Janice and Gale Price, Richwood, Ohio. He graduated from Richwood North Union High School, Richwood, Ohio, in 1985 and received a bachelor’s degree in urban planning from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1991. He is employed by the city of Janesville as the manager of building and development services.

Jennifer Lynn Kopper and Tyler Kent Loomis were married Saturday, May 31, in St. Lucia. Their parents are Donna and Ed Kopper, Hagerstown, Md. and Shirley and Randy Loomis, Beloit. Stacy Hose, friend of the bride, was the matron of honor. Jasson Siljander, friend of the groom, was the best man. The bride graduated from North Hagerstown High School, Hagerstown, Md., in 1997 and received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Bridgewater College, Bridgewater, Va., in 2001. She is employed by AstraZeneca, St. Louis, as a pharmaceutical sales specialist. The groom graduated from Beloit Turner High School, Beloit, in 1997 and received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Herzing College, Madison, in 2000. He is employed by Barry-Wehmiller Companies Inc., St. Louis, as an enterprise WAN/LAN administrator. The newlyweds reside in St. Louis.

Bree Tice and Ryan Hornsey were married Saturday, Oct. 4, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Janesville. Their parents are Barb and Brian Tice, Twin Lakes and Joyce and Ron Hornsey, Janesville. Danielle Babcock, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. Steve Groth, friend of the groom, was the best man. The bride graduated from Wilmot High School, Wilmot, in 2002 and received a degree in finance and mathematics from UW-Whitewater in 2007. She is employed by M&I Corp., Milwaukee. The groom graduated from Parker High School, Janesville, in 2002 and received a degree in occupational health and safety from UW-Whitewater in 2007. He is employed by Mortenson Construction, Chicago. The newlyweds reside in Elkhorn.

He graduated from Craig High School, Janesville, in 1995. He is employed by Mercy Hospital, Janesville.

Shelby Deering and William (BJ) Dernbach were married Monday, Sept. 8, at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion, Walt Disney World, Orlando, Fla. Their parents are Christine and Robert Deering, Elkhorn and Patricia and William Dernbach, Wausau. Jenny Terrill, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Thomas Dernbach, brother of the groom, was the best man. The bride received a degree in English from Ripon College, Ripon, in 2005 and a master’s degree in journalism from UW-Madison in 2006. She is employed by American Girl Magazine, Middleton, as associate editor. The groom received a degree in politics and government from Ripon College, Ripon, in 2005 and is attending the UW-Madison to receive a master’s degree in public policy. He is employed by the state of Wisconsin, Madison, as a legislative aide. The newlyweds reside in Middleton.
