Denham and King

Engagement

Dionne Marie Denham and Jeffrey Matthew King are engaged and planning a Saturday, July 25, wedding in Thiensville. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mary and Richard Denham, Janesville. She recieved a degree in public relations from UW-Whitewater. She is a member of the sorority Alpha Sigma. She is employed by the Bradley Foundation, Milwaukee. Her fiance is the son of Barb King, Brookfield and the late Tim King. He graduated from the Culinary Insitute of Amercia, Hyde Park, N.Y. He is employed by the Milwaukee Club, Milwaukee, as the excutive chef.

JANESVILLE—Shirley and Bert Schenck celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family. Schenck and Shirley Ann Leikness were married March 7, 1959, in Stoughton. He is the owner/operator of Bert’s Barbershop, Janesville. She is retired from JCPenney, Janesville. Their family includes Sandy and Bob Schenck, Candy Schenck, and Mickey and Dave Schumacher, all of Janesville. They also have 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Lindsey Kurszewski and Brian Earle are engaged and planning a Saturday, Aug. 21, wedding at Boerner Botanical Gardens, Hales Corners. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Lori Brunt, Milwaukee, and James L. Kurszewski, Meridian, Miss. She graduated from Waukesha North High School, Waukesha, in 2002, and is attending UW-Whitewater to receive a degree in elementary/special education. She will graduate in May. Her fiancé is the son of Donna M. Hoffman, Mukwonago, and Kenneth Earle, Elkhorn. He graduated from Elkhorn Area High School, Elkhorn, in 2004, and received a degree in business administration in operations management from UW-Whitewater in 2008. He is employed by Generac Power Systems, Whitewater.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Diana and James Kattner, McHenry, Ill. She graduated from Richmond-Burton Community High School, Richmond, Ill., in 1999, and received a degree in business managemnet from McHenry County College, Crystal Lake, Ill., in 2001. She is employed by Follett Library Resources, McHenry, Ill. Her finace is the son of Maureen and Harold Hanauska, Milton. He graduated from Milton High School, Milton, in 1998, and received a welding degree from Blackhawk Technical College, Janesville, in 1999. He is employed by Cooperative Plus, Whitewater.

JANESVILLE—Annette K. and George A. Smith will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary by taking a trip at a later date. Smith and Annette K. Kuijer were married March 8, 1984, in Las Vegas. He is retired from the Janesville Police Department. She is employed by Rock County Health Care Center, Janesville. Their family includes Cindy and Brian Tanis, and Christine Smith, all of Janesville; and George Smith, Edgerton. They also have six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He graduated from Milton High School, Milton, in 1998, and received a degree in business administration from UW-La Crosse in 2002. He is employed by American Family Insurance, Madison.

Jennifer Bierman and Terry Sommerfeldt were married Thursday, February 12, in Negril, Jamaica. Their parents are Karen Bierman, the late Gerald Bierman, Sandra Sommerfeldt, and Harold Sommerfeldt, all of Janesville. The bride is employed by Mercy Health Systems, Janesville, as a registered nurse. The groom is employed by ONEOK Partners, Whitewater, as a multi-skilled technician/pipefitter. The newlyweds reside in Janesville.

Pamela Oswald and Jared Thompson were married Saturday, Nov. 8, in Janesville. Their parents are Diane and Paul Oswald, Edgerton, and Jacen Heideman and Steven Thompson, both of Janesville. Meghan Bartel, friend of the couple, was the maid of honor. Brandon Smith, friend of the couple, was the best man. The newlyweds reside in Janesville.
