She graduated from Rio High School, Rio, in 2003, and received a degree in administration from Madison Area Technical College, Madison, in 2006. She is employed by Hometown Pharmacies, DeForest. Her fiancé is the son of Patty and Eric Peterson, Milton. He graduated from Milton High School, Milton, in 2001, and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from UW-Whitewater in 2004. Wendy Sveom and Christopher Ganzow are engaged and planning a Saturday, Oct. 24, wedding at St. Jude Catholic Church, Beloit. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mary Ann and Robert Sveom, Beloit. She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School, Beloit, in 2002, and received a degree in sociology from UW-Whitewater in 2007. She is employed by Maryville Academy, Durand, Ill. Her fiancé is the son of Roxanne and Ronald Ganzow, Beloit. He graduated from Parkview High School, Orfordville, in 2002. He received a degree in mechanical design technology from Blackhawk Technical College, Janesville, in 2007.

Michelle Marie Gassman and Brandon Lee Jensen were married Saturday, Oct. 25, at Marriott West Atrium, Madison. Their parents are Sara and Jerome Randall, Platteville, the late Wayne Gassman, and Karen and Olen Jensen, Janesville. Angela King and Kayla Gauwitz, cousin of the bride and friend of the couple, were the matrons of honor. Erik Jensen, brother of the groom, was the best man. The bride graduated from Platteville High School, Platteville, in 1999. She received a degree in elementary/middle education from Edgewood College, Madison, in 2003, and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Cardinal Stritch University, Milwaukee, in 2006. She is employed by Sun Prairie Area School District. The groom graduated from Parker High School, Janesville, in 2000, and received a degree in applied science/construction from Madison Area Technical College, Madison, in 2004. He is employed by Tri-North Builders, Madison. The newlyweds live in Madison.

JANESVILLE—Ellie and Bob Conway will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with family and friends. Conway and Eldoris Strommen were married March 14, 1944, at Cargill Methodist Church, Janesville. They are retired farmers. Their family includes Bob Conway Jr., Venice Beach, Calif.; Sally and Scott Conway, Eric Conway, Rondi and Jack Alsteen, and Caryn Conway and Roger Balas, all of Janesville, and the late Susan Conway. They also have 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

JANESVILLE—Betty J. and Harry Nickel will celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary with family and friends. Nickel and Betty J. Gehri were married April 17, 1945, in Janesville. He is retired from General Motors, Janesville. Their family includes Linda Jensen and Ruth Fleck, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Larry Nickel, and Dale Nickel, both of Janesville. They also have six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Allison and Phyllis Leith were married March 14, 1959, in Janesville. He is retired from General Motors, Janesville. She is retired from Prent Corporation, Janesville. Their family includes Vicky and Erick Blanca, and Teresa Allison, all of Janesville; and Patti and Lawrence Faus, Kenosha. They also have three grandchildren.
