Kislia and Feeney

Engagement

Kristina F. Kislia and Daniel J. Feeney are engaged and planning a Saturday, Aug. 15, wedding at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Janesville. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Kathleen and John Kislia, Janesville. She graduated from Craig High School, Janesville, in 2004, and received a degree in art education from UW-Milwaukee in 2009. Her fiancé is the son of Sue Nelson and John Feeney, Janesville. He graduated from Parker High School, Janesville, in 2004, and received a degree in criminal justice from UW-Milwaukee in 2009. He is employed by the Dane County Sheriff’s Department, Madison.

Engagement

Jennifer Folkers and Matthew Zeleske are engaged and planning a Saturday, Aug. 1, wedding at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Delavan. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Sue and Greg Folkers, Darien. She graduated from Delavan-Darien High School, Delavan, in 2005, and received a degree in social work from UW-Oshkosh in 2009. Her fiancé is the son of Lynda and Bill Zeleske, Fond du Lac. He graduated from St. Mary Springs High School, Fond du Lac, in 2005, and is attending Fox Valley Technical College, Appleton, to receive a degree as an auto body technician.

Heidi Hoeft and Andy Jegerlehner were married Saturday, April 4, at St. William Catholic Church, Janesville. Their parents are Sharon Hoeft, Janesville; Larry Hoeft, Beloit; Sheri Atkins, Stoughton; and Fred Jegerlehner, Janesville. Nicole Schultz, cousin of the bride, was the matron of honor. Chris Sprangers, friend of the groom, was the best man. The bride graduated from Parker High School, Janesville, in 1998, and received a bachelor’s degree in child psychology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, Minneapolis in 2002. She is employed by Bobby & Steve’s Auto World, Minneapolis. The groom graduated from Craig High School, Janesville, in 1998, and received bachelor’s degrees in aquatic biology and environmental studies from St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, Minn., in 2002. He is employed by Applied Ecological Services, Prior Lake, Minn. The newlyweds reside in Prior Lake, Minn.

JANESVILLE—Mildred and Edwin Leeger will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary with family and friends. Leeger and Mildred Myhre were married Aug. 1, 1939, at East Luther Valley Church, Beloit. He is retired as a self-employed sheet metal worker. She is retired from Warner Electric, South Beloit, Ill., and Sears Roebuck & Company, Janesville.

EVANSVILLE—Sharon and George Franklin will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, at Grace Evangelical Church, Madison. Franklin and Sharon Flater were married Aug. 1, 1959, in Monona. He is a farmer and she is currently the treasurer for the town of Union. Their family includes Timothy Franklin, and Sally and Randall Karlen, all of Evansville; Rachel and Michael Franklin, Meridian, Idaho; Terry and John Franklin, Oregon; and the late Mary Franklin. They also have nine grandchildren.

DELAVAN—Janice “Jan” and Jacob “Jake” Friesema will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at their home, 1527 Mound Road. Friesema and Janice “Jan” Rusthoven were married March 13, 1959, at Munster Christian Reformed Church, Munster, Ind. He is owner/operator of Lakeland Trash Service, Delavan. She is retired from Sentry Foods, Elkhorn. Their family includes Joan and Ed Swets, Walworth; Bill Friesema, Kathy Frederick and David Friesema, all of Delavan; and Pat and Bill Elgersma, Greenwood. They also have 10 grandchildren.

BRODHEAD—Marcella E. and David A. Root Sr. will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at their home, N. 4153 Pine Street. Root and Marcella E. Williams were married Aug. 1, 1959, in South Beloit, Ill. He is retired from General Motors, Janesville. She is retired as a social worker in Janesville. Their family includes Deb and Dave Root, Janesville; Cheryl Runyon, Terre Haute, Ind.; and Laurie Lewis, Brodhead. They also have six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

JANESVILLE—Doris A. and Gerald E. Stuckey will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a later date. Stuckey and Doris A. Kementz were married Aug. 15, 1959, in Janesville. He is retired from the Milwaukee Railroad. She is retired from St. Luke’s Hospital, Milwaukee. Their family includes LouAnn Stuckey-Bass, Menomonee Falls; and Michelle and Scott Johnston, Hampshire, Ill. They also have two grandchildren.

She is employed by the Parkview School District, Orfordville, as a secretary.
