She graduated from Milton High School, Milton, in 2001, and received a degree in public policy and administration from UW-Whitewater in 2005. She is employed by Lab Safety Supply, Janesville. Her fiancé is the son of Andrea and Michael Savona, Janesville. He graduated from Craig High School, Janesville, in 2003, and received a degree in business management from UW-Rock County, Janesville, in 2006. He is employed by Petco, Janesville.

Amanda Kate Leyes and Thomas James Pellizzi Jr. are engaged and planning a Saturday, June 20, wedding at Rock Prairie United Presbyterian Church, Janesville. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Rita and Randy Leyes, Janesville. She graduated from Craig High School, Janesville, in 2001, and received a bachelor’s degree in human resources from UW-Whitewater in 2005. She is employed by Spacesaver Corporation, Fort Atkinson. Her fiancé is the son of Maggie and Tom Pellizzi, Kenosha. He graduated from Tremper High School, Kenosha, in 2001, and received a master’s degree in management from UW-Whitewater in 2007. He is employed by UW-Whitewater.

Teresa Burrow and Sven Bartram were married Saturday, Oct. 18, at Church by the Side of the Road, Rockton, Ill. Their parents are Cindy and Gary Burrow, Beloit, and Esther and Ronald Bartram, Pell City, Ala. Jessica Burrow, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Erik Ottow, friend of the groom, was the best man. The bride graduated from Parkview High school, Orfordville, in 2001, and received a degree from Martins College of Cosmetology, Milwaukee, in 2001. She is employed by Shear Magic, Janesville, as a hairdresser. The groom graduated from Beloit Memorial High School, Beloit, in 1997. He is employed by Beloit Box Board, Beloit. The newlyweds live in Beloit.

Crystal Treinen and Jesse Meserole were married Saturday, Aug. 16, at First Lutheran Church, Janesville. Their parents are Jody and Matt Treinen and Vicky and Mike Meserole, all of Janesville. Amber Vine and Alyssa Huppert, friends of the bride, were the maids of honor. Joshua, Jeremy, and Andrew Meserole, brothers of the groom, were the best men. The bride graduated from Parker High School, Janesville, in 2002, and received a degree as a dental assistant from Blackhawk Technical College, Janesville, in 2003. She is employed by Pediatric Dental Care, Janesville. The groom graduated from Parker High School, Janesville, in 2002, and is attending UW-Madison School of Pharmacy. The newlyweds live in Janesville.

Amanda Jolene Loften and Joshua Seth Firgens were married Saturday, Nov. 15, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Milton. Their parents are Barb and Dan Loften, East Troy, and Erika and Roger Firgens, Suring. Dayna Loften, sister-in-law of the bride, was the matron of honor. Adam Firgens, brother of the groom, was the best man. The bride graduated from East Troy High School, East Troy, in 2003, and received a degree from UW-Whitewater in 2007. She is employed by JC McKenna Middle School, Evansville, as a computer teacher. The groom graduated from Suring High School, Suring, in 1998, and received a degree from UW-Whitewater in 2003. He is employed by Milton High School as a business education teacher. The newlyweds live in Milton.

Danielle Meehan and Robert Spors were married Saturday, July 19, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Janesville. Their parents are Lori and Terry Meehan, Judi Wardman and Robert Spors, all of Janesville. Angie Meehan, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. T.K. Jones, friend of the couple, was the best man. The bride received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Beloit College, Beloit, in 2006. She is employed by Community Kids Learning Center, Janesville, as a preschool teacher. The groom is employed by Ursa Logistics, Whitewater. The newlyweds live in Janesville.

Kuhar

Anniversary

JANESVILLE—Patricia and Joseph Kuhar will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at Rotary Gardens, Janesville. They also celebrated by taking a trip to Ireland in May of 2008. Kuhar and Patricia Sorenson were married Dec. 27, 1958, in Janesville. He is retired from the Janesville Police Department and the U.S. Navy. She is retired from the Janesville school system. Their family includes Kim and Greg Marnocha, Seymour; Janelle Russotto, Brenda and Eric Porter, Carolyn Benish, and LaRae and Dave Gracyalny, all of Janesville. They also have eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Holden Sr.

Anniversary

JANESVILLE—Jean Marie and Robert A. Holden Sr. will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with family and friends. Holden and Jean Marie Van Hise were married Jan. 22, 1944, in Janesville. He is retired from the U.S. Postal Service, Orfordville, as a postmaster. She is retired from Parker Pen and Woolworth’s, both of Janesville, and the Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Fla. Their family includes Vicki and Robert Holden Jr., Janesville. They also have three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
