JANESVILLE—Joan and Walter Luedtke celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary with family at the Coachman’s Restaurant, Edgerton, on Sunday, July 12. Luedtke and Joan Waddell were married July 18, 1954, in Baraboo. He is retired from SSI Technologies, Janesville. Their family includes Cathy and Al Wald, Monroe; Judy and Rocky Schmidt, Sharla and Rob Klingaman, all of Janesville; Donna and Paul Luedtke, St. Peters, Mo.; and Sharon and Alper Cavusgil, Atlanta, Ga. They also have 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Kuhl were married May 9, 1959, in Lake Mills. He is retired from National Cash Register and Electronic Data Systems at General Motors, both of Janesville. She is retired from Jack Palet Accounting, Janesville. Their family includes Judy and Herb Ruhl, Appleton; Debra and Ron Schoolcraft, Martinsville, Ind.; Ann and Jim Tangney, Menomonee Falls; and Claudia and Jeff Tangney, Foster City, Calif. They also have 10 grandchildren.

Isaac Moat, son of the bride, was the best man. The bride is retired from the Rock County Clerk of Courts Office, Janesville. The groom is employed by J. Gordon Williamson Ltd., Elgin, Scotland. The newlyweds reside in Duffus Elgin Moray, Scotland.

Whittenburg and Mary Margaret Hughes were married Aug. 6, 1942, in Centralia, Mo. They are both retired from Warner Lambert Pharmaceutical, Rockford, Ill. Their family includes Peg and Dan Whittenburg, Thompson Fall, Mont.; Tamme and Jim Whittenburg, Loves Park, Ill.; Linda and George Salter, Janet and Lyall Martin, and Karen and David Brown, all of Janesville. They also have 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
