Anniversary

72 years
JANESVILLE—Ella May and C. Kenneth Bohnhoff, Cedar Crest, Terrace Ridge Apartments, 1704 S. River Road, formerly of Orfordville, celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary with a family celebration at Cedar Crest.
Bohnhoff and Ella May Schumacher were married Feb. 15, 1936, on the Schumacher family farm west of Footville. They retired from farming south of Orfordville.
Their family includes: Jerry and Helen Pearson, Rockford, Ill.; Hal Bohnhoff, Tucson, Ariz.; Lee and Torbjorg Bohnhoff, Orfordville; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Polglaze

Anniversary

25 years
MILTON—Vera and Steven Polglaze, 636 Skyview Drive, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a Sunday family brunch at Randy’s, Whitewater. Also, they will have a fall trip to Russia to visit their daughter studying abroad.
Polglaze and Vera Celise DeZeeuw were married at a candlelight service Feb. 12, 1983, at the Church of Christ, Footville. He is employed by Rock County. She is a social work consultant at is employed at Dean.
Their family includes: Ellen Mae Polglaze, graduate student at UW-Madison.

Larsen and Achterberg

Engagement

Amber Larsen and Josh Achterberg are engaged and planning an Aug. 16 wedding at Holy Mother of Consolation-Catholic Church, Oregon.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Sandy and Jeff Larsen, Beloit. She graduated from Parkview High School, Orfordville, in 1996, and received a bachelor’s degree in business education from UW-Whitewater in 2001. Also, she received master’s degree in education with an emphasis in technology integration from University of Graceland in Iowa in 2006. She is a business education teacher at Parkview High School, Orfordville.
Her fiancé is the son of Lisa and Todd Achterberg, Eagle River. He graduated from Northern Pines School District in 2000 and enlisted in the Wisconsin air National Guard in 2000. He is served in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from UW-Madison in 2007. He is an operating room nurse at Meriter Hospital, Madison.
