Ferguson and Loomis

Wedding

Sarah C. Ferguson and Jeremy L. Loomis were married Sept. 1 at Mount Zion Methodist Church, Janesville.
Their parents are Tom and Debbie Ferguson 4014 Cobblestone Lane, Janesville; Randy and Shirley Loomis 2241 S Pow Wow Trail, Beloit.
Jessica Davis was the maid of honor. Mark Schiferl was the best man.
The bride graduated from Craig High School, Janesville, in 2000 and received an operations management degree from the UW-Whitewater in December 2004. She then received her MBA with an emphasis in general management and marketing from UW-Whitewater in December 2006. She is currently the senior production scheduler at Tramont Corporation, Milwaukee.
The groom graduated from Beloit Turner High School in 1994 and received an industrial technology management degree from UW-Platteville in December 1998. He then received a master’s degree in industrial management from UW-Platteville in May of 2000. He is currently a material supervisor at General Motors in Janesville.
The newlyweds live near Milwaukee.

JANESVILLE—Laura and Guy Stricker Sr., 2409 Lucerne Drive, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary in January with family and friends at Spirit’s.
Stricker and Laura Hammer were married Dec. 16, 1967, in Janesville. He is employed at Gilman Engineering. She is employed with Mercy Health System.
Their family includes: Guy Stricker Jr. and Gretchen Berger, both of Janesville; Alan Stricker, Newport Richey, Fla., and six grandchildren.

Wickingson

Anniversary

25 years

WHITEWATER—Geri and Karl Wickingson, 5301 N. Scharine Road, will celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a trip to the Diamond Center.
Wickingson and Geri Lund-George were married Nov. 13, 1982, in their home in Johnstown. He is employed at General Motors. She is a retired hairdresser. Also, she retired from Rock County Health Care in 1996 and from being self-employed with interior decorating inn 2006. She has been employed with the Diamond Center for 20 years.
Their family includes: Jeff and Patty George, Evansville; Cindi George-VanAcker, Milton; Dustin Wickingson, Whitewater; Ashley Wickingson, East Troy, and six grandchildren.

58 years

JANESVILLE—Dorothy and Hale Duhr, 720 S. Pine St., celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.
Duhr and Dorothy Elain Mercer were married Dec. 3, 1949, in Richland Center. They are retired.
Their family includes: James Duhr, Beloit; Ron Duhr, Edgerton; Randy Duhr and Reggie Duhr, both of Janesville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Engagement

Amanda Deadman and Justin Genung are engaged and planning a June 7 wedding at First Lutheran Church, Janesville.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jacquelyn and Charles Deadman Jr., Madison. She graduated from LaFollette High School, Madison, in 2001, and received an elementary education degree from UW-Madison this year. She is a student teacher at Kegonsa Elementary School, Stoughton.
Her fiancé is the son of Patricia and Curtis Genung, Janesville. He graduated from Parker High School, Janesville, in 2000, and received a fire science degree from Blackhawk Technical College, Janesville, in 2004. He is employed at Cintas Corp., Rockford, Ill.
