The Beloit Snappers will happily take today off.

The Clinton LumberKings battered them for 10 runs over the final six innings to notch a 10-1 Midwest League baseball victory at Pohlman Field on Monday.

Beloit was outscored 28-5 in two games after winning the opening game of the series Saturday.

The Snappers grabbed a 1-0 lead in the third inning Monday but gave up at least one run in every inning after that except the ninth.

Clinton had 14 hits, including three home runs.

Beloit has the day off today before opening a three-game home set with Peoria at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
