Ronald Louis Long, age 86, of Janesville, died April 2, 2014, at his home. He was born Feb. 7, 1928, in Fontana, WI, to the late Louis G. and Hilma J. (Lundstrom) Long. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and served during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Ron was a member of the V.F.W. Kienow-Hilt Post 1621. He worked as an electrician for over 40 years and was a longtime member of the I.B.E.W. Local 890.

Ronald is survived by his son, Vern A. Long; his grandson, Justin A. (Bethany) Long; his great-grandchildren, Blake and Bryce; and his sister, Delores M. Olivas of Elkhorn, WI. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. He was preceded in death in 2011, by his wife of 62 years, Liane M. (Schoenberger) Long; and also by his sister, Marjorie Stark.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014, from 5 until 7 p.m. at the WHITCOMB-LYNCH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES. Private inurnment with full Military Rites will take place in Milton Lawns Memorial Park.
