JANESVILLE—Rock County's monthly tornado siren test is set for 12:05 p.m. Wednesday, June 4.

Sirens will sound for one to two minutes. If residents find the siren in their area is not working, they should call the Rock County Sheriff's Office Emergency Management Bureau at 608-758-8440.

For more information on the outdoor warning system, visit www.co.rock.wi.us/outdoor-warning-system.

For an actual tornado, sirens will sound for three to five minutes. Residents are asked to take shelter immediately and tune in to local broadcasting stations or weather radios for information.

Residents should not call the Rock County 911 Communications Center or local radio stations for weather information.

Rock County will test its sirens on the first Wednesday each month through October. Tests are at 12:05 p.m. unless inclement weather threatens. If this occurs, testing will be postponed until 12:05 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month.
