Three Edgerton boys arrested during arson investigation
EDGERTON—Three boys were arrested Friday in conjunction with a suspicious fire May 16, according to an Edgerton Police Department news release.
— A juvenile male on charges of arson of property other than building, damage to property more than $2,500, damage to property on state-owned land and resisting/obstructing an officer.
— A juvenile male on charges of arson of property other than building, damage to property over $2,500 and damage to property on state-owned land.
— A juvenile male on a charge of criminal damage to property on state-owned land.
No ages or addresses of the boys were released.
Edgerton police and fire were dispatched to a camper trailer fire at 11:33 p.m. Friday, May 16, in the 400 block of East Fulton Street.
The initial investigation showed the fire was suspicious in nature and might have been arson. Through evidence collected, interviews with witnesses and tips from citizens, officials now believe the fire was arson.
