BELOIT—Janesville Parker High golf coach Bob Eicher had a better feeling about his team after the Beloit Scramble on Saturday.

The Vikings came in second to the Beloit Memorial Purple squad at Krueger-Haskell Golf Course. Parker shot a 58 while Beloit Purple had 54.

“Fifty-four is a really good score,” Eicher said.

The Vikings came off a disappointing eighth-place finish in the Big Eight Conference tournament at Evansville Country Club on Thursday and 11th in the Black Hawk Invitational at Madison Black Hawk on Monday.

“We had a rough week last week,” Eicher said. “It’s good to do well at Beloit since the regional is going to be held there.”

The WIAA regional is Tuesday at Krueger-Haskell.
