Louise A. (Galaszewski)Peterson, Janesville, WI (1931-2014)
July 6, 1931 - May 17, 2014
Louise A. (Galaszewski) Peterson, age 82, of Janesville, died Saturday, May 17, 2014, at home. She was born on July 6, 1931, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Leo and Phyllis (Smigielski) Galaszewski. After graduating from Bayview High School, Louise worked as a secretary. Following her marriage, she moved to Janesville, and raised eight children. Louise worked for many years at Ramada Inn before retiring due to health issues. Her love of children was her reason for everything. Even after retirement, she watched grandchildren and great-grandchildren so they would be safe and cared for. We will remember her stories of going to wrestling matches in Milwaukee, and seeing Gorgeous George as well as seeing Hank Aaron play for the Milwaukee Braves. She was a loyal Packers, Brewers, and Badgers fan. Louise will always be 29 and we will think of her every time we hear Paper Roses.
Louise will be greatly missed by her children: Tony (Barb) Peterson, Susie Peterson, Gloria Dutcher, Mike (Kris) Peterson, Pattie (Bob) Meyer, Donald Peterson and Robert Peterson, all of Janesville; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; son in law, Michael Stelter; siblings; Richard (Mary) Galaszewski, Bernice Stone, Ronald Galaszewski, Phyllis (Flory) Zaharias, Constance (Joseph) Stepe and Jerald (Patricia) Galaszewski; sisters-in-law, Joyce Kolberg and Carol Galaszewski; and Luv Luv. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her youngest daughter, Barbara Stelter; a great-grandson, Donovan; sisters-in-law, Betty Galaszewski and Genevieve Galaszewski; brother-in-law, Charles Stone; an aunt, Jean Mancek; brother, Leo Galaszewski; and best friend, Lucy Pippin.
