The Milton Raptors took care of business Sunday, beating Farmington 16-0 in a Rock River League game.

Sean McCann struck out nine batters in five innings of work and combined with Dave Sagitis and Jeff Jacobson for a one-hitter in seven innings.

Jacobson did most of his damage with a bat in his hands. He had five hits in the game, including three of the eight doubles the Raptors had in the blowout. Josh Shere went 2-for-4 and had four RBI.

“We went in there and did what we had to do,” Raptors manager Doug Welch said. The Raptors are 3-0 in the Rock River League.

Before Sunday’s RRL win, the Raptors also beat Marshall 4-1 on Thursday in Home Talent League action. T.J. Klawitter struck out 11 batters in seven innings against Marshall to lead the Raptors to the win in their league debut.

Milton plays in the Home Talent League again Thursday night in Cottage Grove before playing two RRL games over the weekend: Saturday at Helenville and Sunday at home against Johnson Creek at 1:30 p.m.
