Dolores M. Langrehr, age 83, of Clinton, WI, died Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital in Madison with her family by her side. She was born Jan. 29, 1931 in Chicago. Her parents Ernest and Evelyn (Hofstrom) Nitz raised her in Clinton. Dolores married Floyd K. Langrehr June 26, 1949 at Pella Lutheran Church in Clinton. He preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 2006. She attended Clinton High School, class of 1949. Dolores completed her education, earning her nursing degree at the Texas Women’s College. She was a longtime member of Pella Lutheran Church; she taught Bible School and volunteered as a leader in Boy Scouts and Brownies. Dolores will be remembered as an intelligent, articulate and artistic women who was an accomplished pianist. She embraced the role of a homemaker, enjoying her garden, canning and cooking. Dolores and Floyd enjoyed traveling, especially to Arizona and visiting the many National Parks along the way.

She is survived by four children: Dennis (Jenny) Langrehr of Mesa, AZ, Laurie Rasnick of Mesa, AZ, David (Sheryl) Langrehr of Clinton, WI and Dr. Bonnie (Jamie Forrest) Langrehr of Madison, WI; her grandchildren: Jon Langrehr of Clinton, WI, Lynda (Ryan) Roehl of Darien, WI, Chris Langrehr of Clinton, Chelsea Langrehr of Madison, Brian Rasnick of Mesa, AZ, Rebecca Rasnick of Denver, CO, Julian and Devon Apellanes both of Higley, AZ; her brother, Larry (Dorothy) Nitz of Clearwater, FL; and multiple great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her husband Floyd and her parents.

The family would like to thank the staff at Dean St. Mary’s for the care they gave Dolores.

Dolores’s Funeral Service will be 1 PM Wednesday, May 21, 2014 in CHRIST EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 300 High Street, Clinton with Rev. Gary E. Schockman officiating. Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Brian Mark G. Funeral Home, 504 Milwaukee Road, Clinton from 5 PM until 7 PM and again on Wednesday at the Church from 12 Noon until the time of service. Following the service the cortege will proceed to Clinton Cemetery for interment. A memorial is being established in her name.
