The Beloit Snappers have had enough with losing games late.

They came from behind in the final innings Tuesday to win one of their own.

Beloit tied the game at one in the seventh and scored twice in the eighth to top Midwest League-leading Kane County 3-2 at Pohlman Field.

The Cougars led 1-0 until the seventh, when Beloit’s Ryan Huck led off with a walk and scored on Jose Chavez’s one-out sacrifice fly.

In the eighth, the Snappers got a leadoff walk from Boog Powell, who later moved to third on an errant pickoff attempt. Tyler Marincov was intentionally walked with one out and moved to second on a wild pitch to give Beloit runners at second and third. They scored when B. A. Vollmuth singled to left field.

Kane County got a two-out run in the top of the ninth, but the Snappers held on, handing reliever Junior Mendez his second win. Starter Ronald Herrera got no decision despite allowing one run on six hits with five strikeouts in seven innings.

The two teams play again at 6:30 p.m. tonight.
