My family and I were privileged to participate in the Pace for Parkinson’s run/walk at Riverside Park on Saturday, April 26. More than 300 people participated in this fundraising event to support research for a cure for Parkinson’s. We were joined at the run by the Milwaukee Brewers Sausages and the Craig Cougar mascot, who ran their own race at this event.

The Pace for Parkinson’s run/walk was followed by a volleyball tournament and silent auction that combined to raise more than $13,000 to support this research. The day was a huge success due to the dedicated efforts of many volunteers.

I would like to publicly thank the staff and students at Craig and Edgerton high schools for their efforts to make the most recent Pace for Parkinson’s run/walk such a success. I also want to thank Cherie Farrell and Emily Dresen, who both worked hard to coordinate the many aspects of this very successful program.

This was a special event sponsored by a very special group of community members.
