Your Thanks: Kutter helps Janesville agency serve people with disabilities
Kutter Harley-Davidson in Janesville isn't just known for the largest selection of genuine Harley-Davidson motorcycles and parts, accessories and clothing. It is also well known for giving back to the community.
On May 3, Independent Disability Services (IDS) was given the opportunity to participate in Kutter's Spring Open House at the Rudi Kutter Memorial Pavilion. CAMDEN Playground, Friends of Noah and Independent Disability Services were three of the nonprofits who benefited from the drawings, auctions and bar proceeds. There was also a winter coat drive, bake sale and the CAMDEN Poker Run. Thankfully, the weather cooperated, and the event was a huge success with hundreds in attendance.
On behalf of IDS, our staff, board of directors, volunteers and clients, I would like to extend a sincere thank you for the show of support we received during this open house. Also, I would like to extend a special thank you to CeeCee Philipps and the entire Kutter staff for hosting such an extraordinary event. Our agency raised nearly $2,000 that will enhance our mission to improve the quality of life for adults, children and families affected by disabilities and special needs.
Finally, we would like to thank Scott Hembrook of Culligan Water for donating bottled water and our own staff and volunteers, who took time out of their busy lives to help make this event a success. Thank you again, Kutter Harley-Davidson, for all that you do to give back to the community!
