TOWN OF RICHMOND—A motorcycle driver wasn't wearing a helmet when he suffered critical injuries in a Thursday afternoon crash, according to a Walworth County Sheriff's Office release.

Jordan R. Vick, 25, Watertown, was northbound on Highway 89 near Lake Lorraine Road in the town of Richmond when traffic stopped in front of him, the release states.

He swerved into the southbound lane, was forced back to the northbound lane, tipped and rolled, throwing him into a stopped car.

The driver of the car, Evan M. Welter, 18, Whitewater, had stopped waiting for another vehicle to turn left, according to the release.

Vick was admitted to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville. Hospital officials declined Friday to release information about Vick's condition.
