Carol M. Lawver, age 77, of Janesville, died on Monday, May 5, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Madison. She was born in Dubuque, IA on Dec. 18, 1936, the daughter of Bernard and Midge (Hefel) Weber. She attended Holy Ghost Grade School and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School. Carol married Robert “Bob” K. Lawver in Dubuque on Aug. 20, 1971, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 2013. She retired from Oscar Mayer Foods Corporation in 1994, and had been a member of St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, volleyball, boating, tennis, and golfing at Blackhawk Golf Course.

Carol is survived by her 3 sisters: Kay Kuhse of Elkader, IA, Ruth (Richard) Willmers of Dubuque and Lois (Ronald) Jungers of Rickardsville, IA; brother-in-law, Gene (Bernice) Lawver of Rockford; 3 stepchildren: Scott (Cari) Lawver of Baraboo, Terri Reece of Roscoe and Janice (Jim) Hamilton of Beloit; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother-in-law, Fran Kuhse.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014, at ST. JOHN VIANNEY ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1250 E. Racine St., with Msgr. Donn Heiar officiating.
