I would like to thank the many businesses/individuals, not only in Rock County but the surrounding counties, for their tremendous support of the SCWHOG/LoH CAMDEN Ride and Silent Auction.

The number of businesses that showed their love for our city came out in droves. Very few turned us down for donations. It’s because of you and your businesses that this special playground has a chance to stay for generations to come. We’ve spread the word about your gifts and will continue to do so for your dedication. A huge “thank you” goes out to you. Lamar, thank you for the billboards.

To the LoH and SCWHOG, thank you for keeping this model playground as one of your longest-running fundraisers (24 years this year) and your yearly donations to help us keep up the playground.

Many are unaware that CAMDEN Foundation Inc. stays together to help maintain this playground, which has brought in 1.3 million people to the city (according to Tom Presny/Janesville Parks Department), benefiting the many businesses.

We’re in the middle of trying to raise $300,000 for a rebuild, which the playground needs (Leathers & Associates) to update and ensure it lasts for years to come. That’s why this auction and other fundraisers are extremely important.

If you can donate, send them to CAMDEN fundraisers, Johnson Bank, Holiday Drive, Janesville, or any Johnson Bank in Wisconsin. We also are seeking a grant writer, board memers and rebuild volunteers.

Again, thank you for your support. We’re blessed.
