Former state treasurers endorse Janesville's Feldt
JANESVILLE —Scott Feldt, Janesville resident and candidate for state treasurer, announced Monday that he has received the endorsement of three Republican state treasurers, according to a news release.
Feldt, a Republican, is running for the office in the November election against three Madison Democrats—Dan Bohrod, Brandon White and David Leeper, according to online records of the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board.
Feldt was endorsed Monday by former treasurer Cate Zeuske, who was in office from 1991-95, Jack Voight, who was in office from 1995-2007 and current state treasurer Kurt Schuller, according to the release.
Feldt previously ran for state treasurer in 2010 and was defeated by Schuller, who is not seeking re-election. Feldt currently serves as deputy treasurer.
Feldt had served on the Janesville School Board since 2011 but did not seek re-election this spring.
