Ryan Dalton hit a two-run homer and Angel Rosa had a two-run triple to help the Burlington Bees beat the Beloit Snappers on Friday night.

The Bees scored all of their runs in the third and fourth innings, topping the Snappers 7-2 in the opener of a Midwest League series.

Dalton’s two-run shot gave Burlington a 2-1 lead in the third.

Rosa’s triple sparked a five-run fourth inning that knocked Snappers starter Ronald Herrera from the game.

Beloit second baseman Sam Roberts went 3-for-3 at the plate and worked for the second time this season on the mound, throwing a scoreless eighth inning.

Janesville native Trevor Foss threw 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief for the Bees, striking out two, walking two and giving up two hits. He has a 4.22 ERA this season.

The Snappers and Bees play again today.
