Clinton Jerome Green, age 80, of Janesville, passed away on April 16, 2014. Clinton, or Jerry as his friends and family knew him, departed in the company of loved ones. Clinton was born on Jan. 10, 1934, in Edgerton, WI, to Clinton Green, Sr. and Myrtle (McCarthy) Green. Clinton served in the United States Navy and was trained as an Electronics Technician. He served aboard the three aircraft carriers stationed in the Mediterranean and the North Atlantic in the 1950's. After the Navy, Clinton worked as an radar fire control instructor at Fort Bliss, El Paso, TX, before joining RCA, and then the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as an Electronics Technician working in the western United States, for many years before settling down back in Wisconsin, where he worked at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, IL, and at the Rock County Regional Airport in Janesville, from 1970-1987. Clinton enjoyed reading, playing chess, computers, photography and ham radio, where he was licensed as a Technician class Amateur radio operator with the call sign WB9CSS. Clinton's sly sense of humor and his frequent coffee breaks with colorful stories and tall tails will be missed by all who knew and enjoyed his company.

Clinton was preceded in death his first wife, Dolores (Lucero) Green; his third wife, Margret (Schroeder) Green; an older sister, June (Green) Vaught; and his parents. He is survived by his second wife, Shirley (Hatcher) Green; a sister, Shirley Joyce (Green) Butcher; and four children: Christopher, Victor, Cathy and Michael. Clinton also had numerous step children: eight step children from his marriage with his second wife, Shirley (Hatcher) Green: Tracy, Tory, Robert, Kathy, Kevin, Rhonda, Ralph and Danny; and thirteen step children with his marriage with Margret (Schroeder) Green: Judy, Bobby, Debbie, Sheila, Randy, Sue, Kevin, Brenda, Diane, Jackie, Cindy, Ricky and Lisa; numerous grandchildren; a great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
