Clara D. Grenzow, 99, formerly of Elkhorn, and East Troy, WI, died Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Fairhaven of Whitewater, WI. Clara was born Aug. 15, 1914, in Switzerland. She was the daughter of the late Conrad and Anna (Schmid) Diem. She was united in marriage to William S. Grenzow on Nov. 26, 1941, in Dubuque, IA. Bill died Oct. 11, 1985. Clara was an avid bowler who bowled in league bowling into her early 90's. She was a member of the Walworth County Homemakers and active with her church. Clara was a devoted homemaker and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Clara is survived by her five children: William (Dawn) Grenzow of Whitewater, WI, Margaret (John) Clark of Milton, WI, Ellen (William) Kiekhaefer of New Holstein, WI, Robert (Karen) Grenzow of Sumas, WA, and Shari (Tom) Mauer of Kie,l WI; five grandchildren: Gary and John Clark, Tara Luers, Tyler and Amanda Grenzow; seven great-grandchildren: Patrick and Riley Clark, Ori and Charlie Henriksen, Caiden Luers, Chloe Grenzow and Isabella Blank. Clara was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, William; a sister Anna LaBril; and two brothers, Conrad and John Diem.

Memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, at HAASE-LOCKWOOD & ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 730 N. Wisconsin Street, Elkhorn, WI, with Rev. Michael Ovinger officiating. Inurnment will be at White Oak Cemetery in the Town of LaFayette, WI. Visitation will be at the FUNERAL HOME Saturday from 3 p.m. until time of service.
