Program on Albright brooches changes sites

WHITEWATER--The presentation by Marion Burrows on the Brooches of Madeleine Albright will still take place on Thursday, April 24 at 7 p.m., but the location has changed to Fairhaven Senior Center, 435 W. Starin Road. Burrows will share her knowledge of the brooches as part of the Body Adornment Exhibit taking place at the Whitewater Arts Alliance's Cultural Arts Center through April 27.  The presentation is free and open to the public. 

Throughout recorded history, humans have sought to adorn their bodies to exemplify beauty, power, ceremony and/or status. The Whitewater Arts Alliance has recognized that human activity in a two-month show on body adornment, which has featured free henna tattoos, presentations on the history of tattoos, jewelry-making workshops, jewelry in the Victorian age, and more.
