What a weekend of nice weather!
I hope you and your family got a chance to enjoy that spectacular Easter weekend of weather. Here are the many ways we enjoyed the outdoors with our grandkids.
-- A trip to Kiwanis Pond for a little introduction to casting with those new fishing rods.
-- A trip to the tennis courts at Palmer Park.
-- Walking Molly, our Cairn Terrier, in the neighborhood.
-- Bicycling (I took Molly for her first ride of the season in her basket on my bike).
-- An Easter egg hunt after church.
-- Games of tag and batting practice in the yard.
It was the first time since probably that October trip to New England that I broke out the summer shorts. Channel 27 in Madison reported this morning that Sunday's high in Janesville hit 82, though The Gazette reported the high as 78. Either way, we'll take it—it was a spectacular Easter weekend, the best in recent memory.
I even got a little fertilizer and weed killer on the lawn just before nightfall Sunday, as our grandkids were ready to head back to Illinois. Just in time for the little overnight moisture and more rain in today's forecast.
