Frank William Karstetter, 86, of Beloit, WI, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home, Union Grove, WI. He was born Nov. 21, 1927, in Wonewoc, WI, the son of Frank P. Karstetter and Clara Mae (Sloan) Karstetter. Frank was a veteran of the United States Army. He married Carol Brenneke on Jan. 21, 1952. She predeceased him on Jan. 22, 2012. Frank loved being around his family. He enjoyed many years of farming while growing up, and later, as an adult, raising his family, near Emerald Grove, east of Janesville, WI. Frank worked on the railroad for a time and many years at Fairbanks-Morse/Colt Industrial, Beloit, WI, retiring in 1988. He liked fishing, hunting, and camping. Frank was always happy to talk, and anyone he met was treated as a friend. He was a member of the American Legion West-Field Post #48.

Survivors include his daughters: Ruth Martin, Susan (Walt) Yeomans, Clara (Jeff) Knudson, and Carolyn (Lawrence) Finley; grandchildren: Michael Karstetter, Cheryl Karstetter, Deborah (Chadwick) Fairbanks, Bethany Geist, Brandon Martin, Stacy (Bill) Farwell, Stephanie (Lance) Bateman, Shannon Yeomans, Wesley Yeomans, Rene (Paul) Wieloch, Russell Knudson, Jahdiel (Jadi) Finley, and Tim (Chris) Finley; ten great grandsons; and five great granddaughters; sisters: Florence (Fred) Wallmath, Marlene (Molly) Held, Arlene Fast, Gladys Austin, and Shirley (Lloyd) Schultz; brother, Robert Karstetter; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Carol Karstetter; a son, William Karstetter; a brother, Paul, and a sister, Leta Zeich.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at RIVER HILLS COMMUNITY CHURCH, 2843 W. Court St., Janesville, WI, with Pastor Steve Krug and Pastor Walter Yeomans officiating. Burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park, Janesville, WI. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of service, Tuesday, at the CHURCH.
