August 23, 1928 - April 15, 2014

Russell E. Kienbaum passed away at Agrace Hospice Care in Fitchburg, on April 15, 2014. Russ was born Aug. 23, 1928, in Whitewater, son of George and Clara (Ludeman) Kienbaum. He married his high school sweetheart, Jeanette Fike, and they brought five children into the world. Russ was a dedicated worker and excellent provider for his family. In the early days, he worked long hours farming and truck driving. Later, he built his own milk hauling business. His work spanned over 62 years until recent retirement. He saw many farms come and go on his route, and a handful remained constant over the years. His children remember joyful times riding along in the milk truck. He enjoyed many wonderful friendships for which he was very grateful. Also important was the daily news he learned as he went from farm to farm. Russ enjoyed card playing, bowling, gardening, polka music, and feeding the backyard birds at his home.

Russ is survived by three children: Dennis (Beth) of Madison, WI, Tom (Terry) of Mechanicsburg, OH, and Nancy (Todd) LeRoy of Jefferson, WI; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Russ was preceded in death by his wife (married 63 years); and their two sons, Russ Jr., and Ken.

A private family remembrance will be held.
