Charlotte L. Petersdorf, 95, of Beloit, WI, died Sunday, April 13, 2014, in the home of her son. She was born Aug. 21, 1918, in Des Plaines, IL, the daughter of Herman and Clara (Dahm) Frank. Charlotte married Henry L. Petersdorf on Feb. 22, 1944, in Bartlett, IL. He predeceased her on June 7, 1993. Charlotte partnered with her late husband to raise a family on their dairy farm. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, playing Turkey Track, and making calendars for her family every Christmas. Charlotte loved to read and knew her bible very well. She was a member of Luther Valley Lutheran Church and was involved in the Priscilla Circle, Outlook Club and the Goldenaires.
Survivors include her two sons, Raymond (Kathryn) Petersdorf of Lombard, IL, and Richard (Georgia) Petersdorf of Beloit, WI; two daughters, Gladys (Kenneth) Renner of Woodstock, IL, and Carol (Larry) Kammes of Gratiot, WI; nine grandchildren: Kevin (Cheri) Kammes, Dr. Kimberly Kammes and Matthew (Stacy) Kammes, all of Gratiot, WI, Kenneth (Katie) Renner, Jr. of Union, IL, Adam Petersdorf of Cincinnati, OH, Amelia Petersdorf of Chicago, IL, Abby Petersdorf of Lombard, IL, Amber Petersdorf and Christine Petersdorf, both of Beloit, WI; three great-grandchildren: Makayla and Jaci Kammes and Kyle Renner; two brothers, Herman (Marge) Frank of Dexter, MN, and David (Sue) Frank of Pinnock, MN; one sister, Martha Pahnke of Genoa, IL; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; infant daughter, Nancy; and grandson, Michael Renner.
Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014, at LUTHER VALLEY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7107 S. Luther Valley, Beloit, WI, with Reverend Mae Jean Zelle officiating. Burial will be in Luther Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday in the CHURCH. DALEY MURPHY WISCH & ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
