Thomas K. Lohry, age 62, of Janesville, passed away after a long struggle with diabetes and kidney disease on Friday, April 11, 2014, at Rock Haven Nursing Home. He was born on July 2, 1951, and was the son of Ralph and Therese (Broderick) Lohry. Tom graduated from Janesville High School in 1969. He worked for many years as a mason and carpenter before graduating from Blackhawk Technical College with an associate degree as a physical therapist assistant. Tom enjoyed helping others in this field. He also later became a certified medical technician. While Tom called many places home, such as Arizona, and Colorado, in his heart, home was the Northwoods of Wisconsin. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, camping, and hiking with his dog, Bandit. Tom also enjoyed reading, watching NASCAR Racing, the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Wisconsin Badger athletics. He was a devoted son, brother, and friend to many. A special thanks to the staff at Rock Haven Nursing Home and to the Doctors at the University of Wisconsin and Dean Clinics.

Thomas is survived by his brothers and sisters: David Lohry of South Padre Island, TX, Patrick Lohry of Cumming, GA, Cynthia M. Wilson of Janesville, Karen (Dale) White of Janesville, and Bridget (James) Strube of Saukville, WI; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, David C. Wilson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at ST. WILLIAM CATHOLIC CHURCH, with Fr. John Auby and Fr. Robert Thorn presiding. Friends may call from 5 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday at St. William Catholic Church, and again on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
