Snappers win third straight

Ronald Herrera and Matt Stalcup combined to pitch a six-hitter, and the Beloit Snappers won their first road game of the season, 5-1, on Tuesday night at South Bend.

Herrera gave up one run on five hits, striking out six in six innings to earn his first victory of the season. Stalcup struck out six and gave up one hit in three innings of relief to earn a save.

The Snappers built a 5-0 lead through the top half of the sixth inning. Ryan Huck was 3-for-5 with one RBI and one run scored, while B.J. Boyd was 2-for-4 with a run.
