Zana Y. Kurtz, age 57, of Janesville, died Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center. She was born in Viroqua, on Jan. 1, 1957, the daughter of Benjamin and Joanie (Kurtz) Olson and was a 1975 graduate of Craig High School. Zana lived most of her life in Janesville, and was employed as a baker for Schnucks Foods (Loglis) until her health wouldn't allow her to continue. Zana was a member of First Lutheran Church. She loved watching Lifetime and Hallmark movies and enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with her family.

Zana is survived by her two sons, Matthew Steinhoff of Janesville, and Daniel Steinhoff of Milton; her father, Bennie Olson (Diane O'Brien) of Janesville; her grandmother, Ruth Olson of Soldiers Grove; three siblings: Ed (Jean) Olson of Edgerton, David (Robin) Olson and Tina (Gene) Pufahl, both of Janesville; five nephews: Joshua Johnson, Nicholas Meinke, Adam Meinke, Kyle Meinke, and Garrett Olson; as well as many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joanie; grandparents: Paul and Orla Eide and two grandfathers, Oleanor Olson and Roy Kurtz; two uncles, Joseph Kurtz and Michael Olson; and an aunt, June Skrede.

Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2014, at FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH with Rev. Naomi Garber officiating. Visitation will take place on Monday from 3 until 5 p.m. at the CHURCH. Memorials may be made to the Rock County Cancer Coalition.
