Last call for grateful, generous and talented donors. We have approximately 40 days to create and wrap blankets “stitched with love” around the guys and gals who served in World War II, Korea or are Rosie the Riveter veterans. It's our way of saying “thank you” for their service to our country.

The 2014 VetsRoll caravan will be departing on 10 Badger motor coaches to Washington, D.C., from Beloit's Eclipse Center at 5 a.m. May 18.

At present, we are 50 short of our goal to provide each of the 200 veterans a red, white and blue blanket (approximately 35 by 45 inches).

If you would like to experience a “bursting heart” of appreciation inside your chest, come and share the day of distribution on May 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Eclipse Center. There is no greater joy than looking into the eyes of our humble heroes, shaking their hands or giving them hugs of gratitude.

Please call 608-752-6549 to drop off your “gift of love,” or we will arrange for pick-up by May 12.
