FLINT, Mich.--The NAHL playoffs began on a sour note for the Janesville Jets on Friday night.

The Michigan Warriors, thanks to three goals in the third period, rallied for a 4-2 win in the first game of the best-of-five series.

Janesville jumped on top early on Brandon Schultz’s goal at 1:26 of the first period. Jordan Himley and Grant Frederic assisted on the play.

Michigan tied the game at 1-1 on Jon Farkas’ goal at 14:37 of the first, and the Warriors took the lead for good on Al Marcinek’s goal with 1:23 gone in the third.

Janesville trailed 3-1 before Drew Callin got the Jets within one with a power-play goal at 8:36 of the third.

The Jets pulled goalie Logan Halladay with just over a minute remaining, but the Warriors thwarted the strategy with an empty-net goal with one second left.

Halladay, a University of Minnesota recruit, made 20 saves.

Game two is tonight in Flint.

Janesville hosts game three next Friday at the Janesville Ice Arena, with game four, if necessary, scheduled for next Saturday night.
