Two taken to hospitals after a Tuesday night accident
JANESVILLE—Two people were taken to the hospital after a rear-end collision Tuesday night at 6117 S. Highway 51, a Rock County official said.
Officers from the Rock County Sheriff's Office, town of Beloit Police and town of Beloit Fire Department responded to the accident just north of the town line.
A driver northbound on Highway 51 was waiting in a middle turn lane to turn left when a car rear-ended it. The driver and passenger of the car waiting to turn left were taken to the hospital.
The injuries were minor, Rock County sheriff's Sgt. Josh Lund said.
The driver was taken to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center. The passenger was taken to Beloit Memorial Hospital, Lund said.
The names of the drivers and passenger were not available.
