Dr. Everett Fulton, age 87, of Whitewater, WI, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, in his sleep at The Glen in Whitewater, WI. Everett was born on Feb. 14, 1926, in Eugene, OR, the first son of Rev. E.J. and Pauline (Smyly) Fulton. He graduated from Eugene High School and went on to be awarded a BS, MS, and PHD from various universities. Everett served in the US Navy as an officer during World War II. On Aug. 28, 1949, Everett married his wife, Catherine. Everett and Catherine came to Wisconsin in 1966, where he taught religious studies, and was the Dean of Letters and Sciences for many years. He retired in 1988, and moved with his wife to Lakeland, FL, until her death in 2011. At that time, he returned to Whitewater, to be closer to his daughter, Lisa.

Surviving are his children, Lisa (Frank) Taylor of Whitewater, WI, and Reed Fulton of Tampa, FL; a daughter-in-law, Julie Fulton of Tampa, FL; one brother, David (Amy) Fulton of Bellvue, WA; a sister-in-law, Junann Miller of Lakeland, FL; grandchildren: Eric (Michelle) Taylor of Whitewater, Adam Taylor of Chicago, IL, James (Melanie) Taylor of Whitewater, Casiddy Fulton of Tampa, and Nicholas Fulton of Tampa; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at 5 p.m. at the NITARDY FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 550 N. Newcomb St., Whitewater, WI, with Pastor Don Norman officiating.
