John H. Laack, Janesville, WI, (1936-2014)

John H. Laack, age 77, of Janesville, found his way to the Lord on Friday, March 21, 2014, at Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center, Janesville. He was born in Summit Township, Juneau County on Dec. 14, 1936, the son of Henry and Edna Laack. John served in the United States Army from 1954-1956, where he was stationed in Germany. He married Joann K. Preuss in Elroy on May 12, 1962, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 2, 1975. He later married Anna L. Ennis in Janesville on July 17, 1975. John worked as a supervisor for General Motors for 37 years and later for Andover Industries as a liaison. He was a very hardworking man who loved fishing, riding motorcycles, watching westerns and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
John is survived by his eight children: Michael (Donna) Laack of Gladstone, MO, Mark Laack of Ft. Wayne, IN, Sheila Johnson of Madison, Angela (Kyle) Losee of Janesville, Debra (Josh) Lowry of Janesville, Cynthia (Chuck) Howarth of Madison, Pamela (Bryan “Billy”) Keena of Roanoke, IN, and Victoria (Robert) Woodman of Janesville; 20 grandchildren: John, Michael Jr., Steven, Nicholas, Kiara, Peyton, Tamara, Mikhail, Teagen, Mahkis, Dylan, Austin, Riley, Mia, Heather, Matthew, Ryan, Tyler, Tanner, and Taylor; five great grandchildren: Ahlonso, Sylas, Kenneth, Mallory and Mason; four siblings: Marvin (Jeanette) Laack of Warrens, MI, Lillian Brassington of Madison, Janet Zeller of Madison, and Mildred Holmes of Mauston; a very special friend, Barbara Keller of Janesville; 2nd wife, Anna Laack of Janesville; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife, Joann; three brothers; Fredrich, Carl and Anton Laack; and two sisters, Irma Laack and Caroline Potter.
A Funeral Service will be held at Noon on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH, Janesville, with Rev. David Andert officiating. Burial will be at Milton Lawns Memorial Park, Janesville. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH, Janesville.
