Wesley G. Hopper, 82, formerly of Janesville, WI, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014, in Alden Meadow Park Health Care Center, Clinton, WI. He was born Oct. 16, 1931, in Beloit, WI, the son of Everet G. and Eva E. (Beck) Hopper. Wesley was a 1950 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. He married Audrey Spooner in 1951. Wesley later married Patricia A. (Keeling) Howard on Aug. 28, 1965, in Beloit, WI. She predeceased him on Nov. 28, 2009. Wesley was formerly employed by Monterey Mills, Pepsi and retired from General Motors in 1998. He enjoyed deer hunting, rough carpentry and was very passionate about the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cubs and NASCAR. Wesley was a member of the Local #95 Retirees and a life long member of the Threserie. He was also a member of Central Christian Church, where he belonged to the Breakfast Club and TLC. He also served as a trustee, deacon, and elder. Wesley played professionally for over 50 years as a drummer in various County Western Bands and while with the Dude Ranchers a single was recorded and released.

Survivors include his children: Kathy Brinkman of Madison, WI, Kenny (Denise) Hopper of Beloit, WI, Billy Hopper of Madison, David Hopper of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Cindy (Phil) Cramer of Golden, CO; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Robley “Bob” Hopper of Beloit, WI; a sister, Marilyn Perry of Beloit. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Donald; sister, Phyliss Moseman; infant sister, April Hopper; grandson, Jeremy Brinkman; best friend, George Wilson; and his dog, Pal.

The family would like to thank Alden Meadow Park Health Care Center for the care that was given to Wesley and Agrace Hospice for their support during this time.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2014, in CENTRAL CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 2460 Milwaukee Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor David Meding officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday in the DALEY MURPHY WISCH & ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI.
