Janesville Jets make it six wins in seven games
Three Jets—Robin Hoglund, Ian Janco and Kyle Patava—all had two-point games Friday to send Janesville to a 4-1 road win over the Michigan Warriors. It’s Janesville’s sixth win in its last seven games, including two of three against the Warriors, in a tight playoff race in the NAHL North.
The Jets had a 1-0 lead after one period on a Robin Hoglund goal before a pair of power-play scores in the second stretched the lead to 3-0 with 9:22 to go in the frame.
Michigan’s Mitchell Wedding scored unassisted to cut into the lead, but Hoglund scored again on an empty net in the final minute to secure the two points for the Jets, which put Janesville just one point behind Michigan for second place in the division.
With four games left to play, the win affords Janesville a little more breathing room

St. Norbert into another Frozen Four title game
Janesville Parker grad David Jacobson and the St. Norbert College Green Knights beat Geneseo State University 6-2 on Friday to advance to the national championship in Division III men’s hockey.
Friday’s win was the 10th in a row for the Knights, who scored the last four goals of the game to earn their championship berth, the seventh in the past 11 sesasons. Another title would give St. Norbert’s its third in the last four years.
Jacobson, a goaltender, made 25 saves in the game and improved his season record to 23-1-1.
